I’m Dr. Doreen DeStefano, DNP, NHD, APRN. I bring the tenacity of a medical detective to every case: I listen beyond the obvious, scrutinize the details, and follow the clues across your history, symptoms, and testing to uncover what may be driving your health challenges. If the first round of testing falls short, I keep digging. I never give up.

I founded Root Causes to give people with complicated health concerns a place where their stories are taken seriously and their care is approached thoughtfully. I am also the author of Biohacking Cancer, a book about the metabolic approach to cancer and the factors that shape the body’s internal environment.
